Congratulations on graduating from a qualified counseling program! It’s a huge accomplishment. Two years of weekly licensure supervision can seem like forever, but I’d like you to think of it as another step in learning as well as having the privilege to serve in the life of clients. As you take the next step toward becoming an independent and licensed mental health counselor, it can seem overwhelming at first, but with the right support your clinical and professional goals are well within reach. I will be your resource for navigating the rules, regulations, and testing mandates. I will take every opportunity to address any concerns or challenges you may face. You know you have the ability, I am here to help you explore your skills and develop the tools you need for your work.

As a supervisor I will work to protect an environment of openness and trust. I will be forthcoming with my perspectives, but will rely heavily on your perspectives. Together we will create the best possible treatment plan on behalf of your clients. You are a professional and I will be treating you with the respect a professional has earned. We will work to maintain records that will facilitate a seamless transition from internship to licensure.

If you are also interested in becoming certified in EMDR,  as a Consultant in training I offer simultaneous supervision that can make certification in EMDR and Licensure surprisingly affordable. As a Certified EMDR therapist and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will be additionally prepared to meet the demanding needs of psychotherapy.
